On 4th of February, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev met with representatives from Chinese enterprises CITIC Group, Izp Group, Intercontinental Petroleum co., LTD and etc. at the Presidential Palace to extend New Year greetings. During the interview, the vice chairman of CITIC Resources, general manager of CITIC company Sun Yang has extremely grateful Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s concern and support to CITIC Group, while he introduced implementation situations of cooperation projects which involved CITIC Karazhan Bath Oil, Caspian asphalt and CITIC Kazyna fund, which include Karazhan Bath Oil, CITIC Caspian asphalt and CITIC Kazyna Fund. In addition, Sun Yang said that according to the group "Thirteen Five" strategic planning, CITIC will establish and continue strengthen cooperation with Kazakhstan party in Kazakhstan- CITIC infrastructure investment fund, joint venture bank setting up , the Astana international financial center construction and road reconstruction in Kazakhstan’s domestic, uranium mining and nuclear power development, the establishment of modern agriculture, and real estate; The chairman of Izp Group, Mr.Luo Feng presented cooperated items to President Nursultan Nazarbayev which involves IBS cooperated with the Ministry of Economy, the Central Bank and the International Finance Centre to estabush Tenge - RMB clearing center, commodity exchanges center and big data center case. In this regard, President Nursultan Nazarbayev said that the establishment of Tenge - RMB clearing system is beneficial to push bilateral trade, and it can promote Chinese enterprises to invest in Kazakhstan, moreover, it is helpful for stabilizing the currency exchange rate of Tenge. While the big data center can provide data center services and big data analysis services for the Central Asian countries, and finally to formed along "OBOR" strategic big data industries and system. General Manager of the Central Asian region Intercontinental Petroleum Corp. Wang Wentao said that as the largest China’s oil and gas industry Investment Company in the Kazakhstan, Intercontinental Petroleum has invested approximately $ 1.3 billion at the end of 2015, now it directly and indirectly holds four Kazakhstan oil interests. Basis on this, intercontinental Petroleum will fully grasp and use the current strategic opportunities under Sino-Kazakhstan best relations, it will unswervingly strengthen cooperation with Kazakhstan in high-quality advanced petroleum exploration and new technical development, and strive for making greater contributions in China-Kazakhstan’s economic and trade cooperation.
After listening to the reports, President Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed his appreciate to the Chinese companies to promote the bilateral pragmatic cooperation and contribute to Kazakhstan’s economic and social development over the year past , and through the Chinese enterprises he extend New Year greetings to all the Chinese people. In addition, President Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the government of Kazakhstan will further formulate supporting policies and measures to expand the pragmatic cooperation between the two countries. And he hopes that more Chinese enterprises to invest in Kazakhstan for jointly implementing “Silk Road Economic Belt "strategy by the President of China, Mr.Xi Jinping and realizing Kazakhstan" Avenue” plan.
